Modu Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Modu handles personal data in its website and service. A signed data-processing agreement or commercial agreement may add terms for a merchant deployment.
Information we process
Depending on the service used, this can include account identity and contact details, staff roles, order and fulfilment records, store settings, support requests, device/session security data, and audit records. Merchants control the catalog and customer information they enter.
Why we process it
We use data to provide ordering and operational features, authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, support customers, maintain audit trails, meet legal obligations, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal data.
Access controls and sharing
Access is limited by account type, merchant, role, and assigned branch. A merchant owner can manage staff access. Approved service providers may process information only as needed to operate or secure the service. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect people, rights, and the service.
Retention and deletion
We retain information only for as long as needed for the service, legal obligations, dispute handling, security, and agreed merchant records. Personal-account holders can request correction or deletion through the account tools or by contacting us. Some operational records may need to be retained where law or a signed agreement requires it.
Your responsibilities
Merchants must give customers any required notices, use only lawful data, and configure staff access carefully. Do not place payment-card details, government identifiers, health data, or other unnecessary sensitive data in free-text fields.
Contact
For a privacy request or question, email contact@silsal.org. We may need to verify your identity and relationship to the merchant before acting on a request.
